The New Prairie Cougars will head out on the road to take on the River Valley Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. New Prairie is looking to tack on another W to their 11-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
On Wednesday, New Prairie never let their opponents score. They blew past Elkhart 9-0.
The team relied heavily on Emily Mrozinski, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Randi Robakowski was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, River Valley pushed their score all the way to 13 two weeks ago, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Lawrence by a score of 14-13.
New Prairie now has a winning record of 2-1. As for River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
