Mamou has gone a perfect 5-0 against Opelousas recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Mamou Demons will host the Opelousas Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Mamou blew Church Point out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Church Point got their revenge. Mamou fell just short of Church Point by a score of 4-2. The Demons' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Opelousas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Comeaux, falling 13-1.

Mamou's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Opelousas, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Mamou took their victory against Opelousas in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 21-5. Will Mamou repeat their success, or does Opelousas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
