Basketball Recap: Western Takes Down Ferguson in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Western had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-38 victory over the Ferguson Falcons. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won four matches in a row.

Maddison Manragh was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 30 points and ten boards. Those 30 points gave her a new career-high. Brianna Jarquin was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten steals.

Western's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Ferguson, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-5.

Western didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-30 loss against Doral Academy on the 18th. Ferguson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
