Pyramid Lake waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Eureka Vandals with a sharp 15-1 victory. This was payback for the Lakers, who suffered a 14-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Pyramid Lake's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Trista Kelly, who got on base in three of her six plate appearances with one double. Lorena Eben was another, going 2-for-4 with one double.

Pyramid Lake pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Eureka, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pyramid Lake beat the Vandals by a score of 11-0 later that day.
