Basketball Recap: Addison Uehling's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Platte over Northwest

North Platte was the 54-41 winner over Northwest when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The match between the North Platte Bulldogs and the Northwest Vikings didn't end well, with the North Platte Bulldogs falling 47-33. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Vikings are ranked 39th).

North Platte lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Addison Uehling, who posted seven points and three blocks. Uehling has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Douglas, who had seven points and three steals.

Northwest's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reagan Mcintyre, who scored 16 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Jolie O?Hara, who earned 11 points.

This is the second loss in a row for North Platte and nudges their season record down to 4-10. As for Northwest, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

North Platte has already played their next game, a 50-43 win against McCook on the 24th. As for Northwest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 49-44 victory against Ogallala on the 25th.
