Red Hill's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Grayville Bison as Red Hill made off with an 11-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Salukis in their matchups with the Bison: they've now won six in a row.
Red Hill got a great performance from Dylan Casarotto as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). Casarotto has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Marcus Davis was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Aten, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Red Hill now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Grayville, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
Coincidentally, Red Hill and Grayville will both be playing Webber the next time they take the field. Grayville will head out to face Webber at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Red Hill will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
