Baseball Recap: Pen Argyl Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Pen Argyl entered their tilt with Moravian Academy on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 22-4 on April 1st.

Cayden Vishnesky made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Vishnesky was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, Pen Argyl got a big performance out of Nick Haros, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. Haros has been hot recently, having posted three or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Jacob Martini was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Pen Argyl pushed their record up to 9-6-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Moravian Academy, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-17.
