Softball Recap: Colton Comes Up Short

Colton lost against Perrydale back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Vikings came up short against the Pirates, falling 20-10. Even if the Vikings couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Katelynn Kimsey was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.

This is the second loss in a row for Colton and nudges their season record down to 3-6-1. As for Perrydale, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Colton will challenge rival Kennedy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Perrydale is set to face off against their familiar foe Western Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
