Soccer Recap: Bellville Comes Up Short

Bellville was the 4-0 winner over Hempstead when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Bellville Brahmas fell just short of the Hempstead Bobcats by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Brahmas have lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for Bellville and nudges their season record down to 7-15-1. As for Hempstead, with the win, they broke their 14-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-16-1.

Coming up, Bellville will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Sealy at 5:15 p.m. Bellville's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Hempstead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Hempstead duke it out with Harmony School of Innovation at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. They are facing Harmony School of Innovation at the right time seeing as Harmony School of Innovation is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
