Football Game Preview: Huguenot Falcons vs. Monacan Chiefs + Official Tickets

Huguenot is 2-7 against Monacan since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. Huguenot is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Friday, Huguenot got the win against L.C. Bird by a conclusive 28-3. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won four contests by 25 points or more so far this season.

Huguenot found their leader in sophomore Charles Scott Jr, who threw for 197 yards and three TDs. Scott Jr is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last four games he's played. 84 of Scott Jr's passing yards were hauled in by Najarn Bostic.

Huguenot's run defense was locked in: L.C. Bird could only muster 2.6 yards per carry. The Falcons' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.2.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Monacan and Richmond High School for the Arts, and Monacan kept the tradition alive. The Chiefs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 27-24 win over the Bulldogs on Friday. That's two games straight that the Chiefs have won by exactly three points.

Huguenot's record now sits at 4-1. As for Monacan, their record is now 2-4.

Huguenot strolled past Monacan when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a score of 40-23. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
