Recap: Happy Cowboys vs. Alpine Bucks
The Happy Cowboys scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Alpine with points to spare, taking the game 54-35. The win was a breath of fresh air for Happy as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, Alpine still got an impressive performance from Ali Maroney, who scored five points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her.
Even though they lost, Alpine were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. This was only their tenth loss (out of 14 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Happy's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Alpine, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Happy will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Southcrest Christian at 3:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Southcrest Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Alpine won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Seymour at 10:30 a.m. on December 30, 2023. Seymour has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1.
