Northside waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wheatley Wildcats an 8-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Sergio Ortega as he scored three goals for his team.

Northside used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Wheatley. Three players hit the pitch for the first time this season: Josue Rodriguez, Joseph Lopez, and Angel Garcia. The pair took full advantage of the opportunity: Lopez put up one assist, while he put up two assists.

Northside's victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Northside will venture away from home to take on Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wheatley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
