Volleyball Recap: Calvary Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

Calvary Baptist Academy entered their game against Byrd on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cavaliers fell 3-1 to the Yellow Jackets. Cavaliers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Yellow Jackets since Tuesday.

Calvary Baptist Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-16.

Calvary Baptist Academy now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Byrd, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Coming up, Calvary Baptist Academy will face off against McGehee at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Byrd, they will take on Sulphur at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
