Basketball Recap: Centennial's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Centennial waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Mifflin Punchers by a score of 66-56. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-49 back in December of 2024.

Mifflin lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Yaqub Intilo, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points. Another player making a difference was Kesahn Bouttry, who posted 12 points.

Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Mifflin, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10.

Centennial will face off against East at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Centennial knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully East likes a good challenge. Mifflin has already played their next game (against Columbus International), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
