Soccer Game Preview: South-Doyle vs. Greeneville

The South-Doyle Cherokees will be taking part in a tournament against the Greeneville Greene Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South-Doyle will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

South-Doyle's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top against Cumberland County by a score of 2-0. That's two games straight that South-Doyle have won by exactly two goals.

Gideon Walker was the driving force of South-Doyle's attack as he scored both of South-Doyle's goals, bringing his season total up to 15 goals.

Meanwhile, Greeneville's game on Saturday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Fulton 3-2.

South-Doyle's record now sits at 18-1-2. As for Greeneville, their record is now 14-6-2.

South-Doyle skirted past Greeneville 2-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Cherokees have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Greene Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
