Recap: Bear Lake Bears vs. Firth Cougars
The Bear Lake Bears and the Firth Cougars squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Bear Lake Bears had to settle for second. They took a 61-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. Even though they lost, Bear Lake's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.1 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the loss, Bear Lake still got an impressive performance from Bryson Crane, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 14 rebounds. Rhett Lloyd was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Bear Lake has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season. As for Firth, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.
Bear Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Firth's road trip will continue as they head out to face The Ambrose School at 5:00 p.m. on February 29th.
