Volleyball Recap: Eaglecrest Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Eaglecrest unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Regis Jesuit Raiders by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Eaglecrest sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-22, 11-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-11.

When it comes to explaining why Eaglecrest lost, don't look at Ella Mack. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and four aces.

Eaglecrest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against ThunderRidge on the 28th. As for Regis Jesuit, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Columbine on the 26th.
