Basketball Recap: Osawatomie's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Osawatomie needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Jasper Sallee. The Osawatomie Trojans enjoyed a cozy 55-41 win over the Prairie View Buffalos on Friday thanks in part to Sallee, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Walker Beets, who posted eight points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Osawatomie's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-4. As for Prairie View, their loss was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7-1.

Osawatomie will be taking part in a tournament against Pleasanton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairie View has already played their next contest (against Uniontown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
