Baseball Recap: Platteview Comes Up Short

If Platteview was feeling good fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Beatrice on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans fell 4-1 to Platte Valley on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Platte Valley this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 last Wednesday.

Platteview got a good showing from Brady DeWeese, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Platteview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cash Porter, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Platteview's record is now 7-6. As for Platte Valley, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Platteview has already played their next matchup, an 8-2 loss against Gross Catholic on the 20th. As for Platte Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-3 win against Ralston on the 20th.
