Baseball Recap: Struthers Takes a Loss

Struthers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the South Range Raiders, falling 7-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 last Friday.

Struthers saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Pastella, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Struthers' defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for South Range, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Looking ahead, Struthers will be playing in front of their home fans against Girard at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Indians have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. South Range has already played their next match (against Cardinal Mooney), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
