Carey had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 27-point drubbing they dealt Castleford on Wednesday. The Carey Panthers claimed a resounding 48-21 win over the Castleford Wolves. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Castleford lost, don't look at Oaklee Skinner. Despite the final result, she went 6 for 8 en route to 16 points and five boards. Skinner continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Carey is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Castleford, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
