Basketball Recap: Sky View Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

If Mountain Crest wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Sky View, they should've done a better job of containing Claire Fischer. The Sky View Bobcats came out on top against the Mountain Crest Mustangs by a score of 57-47 on Thursday thanks in part to Fischer, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (five).

Lacy Smith was another key player, putting up six points. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Sky View pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Mountain Crest, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.

Coincidentally, Sky View and Mountain Crest will both be playing Ridgeline the next time they take the court. Mountain Crest will host Ridgeline at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Sky View will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
