Basketball Game Preview: Marcos de Niza Padres vs. Cactus Shadows Falcons

The Marcos de Niza Padres will venture away from home to square off against the Cactus Shadows Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Marcos de Niza's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.

Last Friday, Marcos de Niza ended up a good deal behind Mesquite and lost 74-60.

Despite the defeat, Marcos de Niza got top-tier performance from James Steward, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Steward a new career-high in assists (four). Jayden Mcgee was another key player, putting up 11 points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Cactus Shadows earned a 63-54 victory over Saguaro on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Cactus Shadows pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Marcos de Niza, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season.

Marcos de Niza might still be hurting after the 75-51 loss they got from Cactus Shadows when the teams last played back in December of 2017. Can Marcos de Niza avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
