West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 24) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers, sneaking past 51-49. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Loss or not, Greenfield/Northwestern got some senior leadership from Wyatt Stuart and Garrett Costello. Stuart went 7 of 13 on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds, while Costello went 5 for 7 en route to 11 points and three steals. Stuart continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Talon Albrecht, who posted seven points and five assists.
