Baseball Game Preview: Glenbrook Apaches vs. Benton Tigers

Glenbrook is 0-4 against Benton since February of 2024 but things could change on Saturday. The Glenbrook Apaches are taking a road trip to challenge the Benton Tigers at 11:00 a.m.

Glenbrook came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against North DeSoto, falling 6-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Apaches were not able to get on the board.

Glenbrook saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Waller, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Benton won against Byrd on Thursday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Benton came out on top against North DeSoto by a score of 7-3. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Griffins recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Benton's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Glenbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1.

Glenbrook suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to Benton in their previous matchup last Wednesday. Can Glenbrook avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
