The Pingry School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Warren Hills Regional Blue Streaks. On the bright side, the ten- run performance marked the Big Blue's highest-scoring match to date.

The Pingry School got a good showing from Shane Varneckas, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.

The Pingry School's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Warren Hills Regional, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, The Pingry School will square off against Summit at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Warren Hills Regional, they are taking a road trip to take on Gill St. Bernard's at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
