Baseball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Clinton couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Bunn Wildcats on Friday, falling 9-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Dark Horses have suffered since April 4th.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Bunn, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 24-2.

Clinton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bunn, they will square off against North Johnston on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
