Football Recap: Borger Comes Up Short

Borger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Denver City Mustangs, falling 35-7. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Borger's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Denver City, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record.

Borger will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Denver City, they will welcome Dalhart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Wolves have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
