Baseball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wingate Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-6 on Thursday.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Wingate, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coming up, Valley will face off against Hopi at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bruins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wingate, they will take on Northwest at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
