Basketball Game Preview: Juarez Eagles vs. Hancock Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Juarez Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Hancock Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Juarez will head into Thursday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 50) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over Chicago Military Academy-Bronzeville/DuSable. The two-point effort marked Juarez's lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Hancock entered their tilt with Solorio on Wednesday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They enjoyed a cozy 43-26 win over the Sun Warriors.

Hancock pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.0 points per game. As for Juarez, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8.

Juarez came up short against Hancock in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 27-20. Can Juarez avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
