Baseball Recap: Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Victory

Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts entered their tilt with Copper Basin on Tuesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the Cougars. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five matchups by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Evan Henderson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and not a single walk). Henderson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Jackson Owens was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Noah Steele, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Copper Basin only posted an OBP of .261.

Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts' record is now 8-2. As for Copper Basin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6-1.

Coming up, Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts will head out to take on Tyner Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Copper Basin, they will be playing at home against Lookout Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
