Baseball Recap: New Trier Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

New Trier was forced to take a big loss against they on Tuesday, they got the better of them on Thursday. They never let the Maine South Hawks get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The result came thanks to Greg Campitelli's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jake Bentivenga, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

New Trier pushed their record up to 20-6-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Maine South, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-14.
