Basketball Game Preview: Millbrook Wildcats vs. Wake Forest Cougars

Millbrook is 9-1 against Wake Forest since November of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wildcats face off against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Millbrook knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Wake Forest likes a good challenge.

Millbrook is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with an 87-76 victory over Rolesville on Friday.

Ashton King was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Bowen, who went 7 for 15 to rack up 20 points and seven assists.

Meanwhile, Wake Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 58-50 to Wakefield.

Millbrook has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.0 points over those games. As for Wake Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.

Everything came up roses for Millbrook against Wake Forest in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as the team secured an 82-53 win. Does Millbrook have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wake Forest turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
