Softball Recap: Patterson Mill Picks Up Eighth Straight Win on the Road

Patterson Mill won the last time they faced Joppatowne and things went their way on Wednesday too. Patterson Mill put the hurt on Joppatowne with a sharp 14-0 victory. That looming 14-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Patterson Mill yet this season.

Lily Baldwin was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Audrey March, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Savannah Reedy, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double.

Patterson Mill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .516. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Patterson Mill's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Joppatowne, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
