Volleyball Game Preview: Farragut Admirals vs. Dunbar Mightymen

The Farragut Admirals will head out to square off against the Dunbar Mightymen at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Farragut is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Uplift just ended the team's seven-match winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 2-1.

Farragut couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Uplift a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-30, 25-7, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Dunbar beat Douglass 2-0 on Friday. The Mightymen haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Dunbar took both sets by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-11.

Farragut's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Dunbar, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Farragut beat Dunbar 2-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Admirals since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
