Kettle Run hasn't had much luck against Fauquier recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cougars will host the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Kettle Run is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Kettle Run had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Brentsville District on Tuesday. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Tigers. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Aaliyah Alexander made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Those hits were her first of the season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Kettle Run got a massive performance out of Ryan Drew, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Drew also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Emerson Golden, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.

Kettle Run always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Fauquier strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against Liberty by a score of 6-3.

Fauquier pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Kettle Run, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
