After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hoosick Falls, Hoosic Valley was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Emma Willard Jesters with a sharp 27-8 win. With that victory, the Hawks brought their scoring average up to 8.4 runs per game.

Lainey Bochette was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Izzy Finkle, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

Hoosic Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .651. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hoosic Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Emma Willard, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
