Volleyball Recap: Christopher Gets the Win

After losing to Silver Creek the last time they met, Christopher decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cougars came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Christopher walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19, 15-25, 25-18.

Christopher can attribute much of their success to Brooke DeMare, who had ten digs and two aces. Those two aces gave DeMare a new career-high.

DeMare wasn't the only good server: Christopher was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive games.

The victory got Christopher back to even at 5-5. As for Silver Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Christopher wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Leland on the 12th. As for Silver Creek, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Westmont on the 12th.
