Leigh and Leland are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Longhorns will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Chargers at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Leigh lost 7-1 to Branham on Thursday.

Leigh saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Manning-Alarcon, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Leland fell victim to Gilroy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The defeat continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.

Leland's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Leigh, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13-1 record this season.

Everything went Leigh's way against Leland in their previous meeting back in March, as Leigh made off with an 11-3 victory. Will the Longhorns repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
