After a string of four wins, Las Vegas's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Coronado Cougars. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Aaliyah Jones paced Las Vegas' offense, picking up five kills. Jones got some help from Millie Mangum and her ten assists. Martha Duarte controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Las Vegas' defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Coronado, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, Las Vegas will take on Canyon Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Coronado, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Durango on the 30th.
