Baseball Game Preview: Prairie Heights Panthers vs. Central Noble Cougars

The Prairie Heights Panthers will take on the Central Noble Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Prairie Heights hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Whitko hit Prairie Heights with a five-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell 6-1 to the Wildcats.

Prairie Heights saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robert Hicks, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Central Noble was able to grind out a solid win over Fort Wayne South Side on Monday, taking the game 8-4.

Central Noble's victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Prairie Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.

Prairie Heights skirted past Central Noble 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
