Basketball Recap: East Ridge Skates Past Mounds View with Ease

East Ridge had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 68-33 win over the Mounds View Mustangs. That looming 68-33 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Raptors yet this season.

East Ridge pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Mounds View, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Ridge and Rosemount will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rosemount knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully East Ridge likes a good challenge.
