Softball Recap: Granville Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Granville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Argyle Scots 7-6. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Joysie Velez was excellent, going 3-for-5 with three RBI.

Granville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.

Granville now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Argyle, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.
