Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oakland). They managed a 32-26 win over the Arcata Tigers on Friday. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly six points.

The victory made it two in a row for Oakland and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.0 points over those games. As for Arcata, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakland will venture away from home to take on Dougherty Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dougherty Valley will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Arcata, they will head out on the road to face off against McKinleyville at 7:30 p.m. on October 4. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
