It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pell City had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Oxford Yellow Jackets. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Savannah McGaha spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Kherington Keith was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Addy Simmons was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Pell City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive contests.
