Volleyball Game Preview: Salmon River Savages vs. Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies + How To Watch

The Salmon River Savages will square off against the Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Salmon River is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Horseshoe Bend just ended the team's ten-match winning streak on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-13, 22-25, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Greenleaf Friends Academy lost 3-0 to Garden Valley on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost eight in a row.

While Greenleaf Friends Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-8, 25-14.

Greenleaf Friends Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Salmon River, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-3.

Salmon River took their victory against Greenleaf Friends Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Savages repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
