Basketball Recap: Seaside Comes Up Short

Seaside lost against Stayton back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Seaside Seagulls had to suffer through a 61-29 loss at the hands of the Stayton Eagles. The Seagulls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seaside's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Stayton, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seaside will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marist at 5:30 p.m. on December 30th. As for Stayton, they will take on Cottage Grove in a tournament on Thursday.
