Softball Recap: Central Extends Winning Streak to Four

Central extended their postseason success on Monday against Frankford. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Pioneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lancers have posted since April 30, 2024.

The victory (which was Central's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-3. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.5 runs. As for Frankford, with the loss, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-2.

Coming up, Central will square off against Franklin Towne at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. Frankford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
