Basketball Recap: St. John's Prep Takes a Loss

St. John's Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. John's Pioneers. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

St. John's Prep's record now sits at 1-10. As for St. John's, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

St. John's Prep will be playing at home against Boston College High at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boston College High has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 197 points over their last three contests. As for St. John's, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 68-53 defeat against Xaverian Brothers on the 20th.
