Preview: Rockcastle County Rockets vs. Westside Rams
The Rockcastle County Rockets are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Westside Rams at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th. One thing working in Rockcastle County's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Rockcastle County has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 23 points or more this season. They really took it to Menifee County for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-38 win on the road. Given Rockcastle County's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Menifee County is ranked 177th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Westside had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.7 points), and they went ahead and made it seven last Friday. They breezed by Boiling Springs on the road to the tune of 74-42. Westside might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven games by 26 points or more this season.
Rockcastle County's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Westside, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1.
